Things to do in Cape Town:
There are lots of things to do in Cape Town and April is a lovely time of the year. We are going into autumn at that stage and the temperatures are not as hot as summer (21-23° C on average), with cooler evenings (12-14° C on average), and the strong south-easterly winds of summer have weakened. Being a winter rainfall region, we can expect some rain in April.
- V+A Waterfront offers a lot in terms of restaurants, shops and art galleries.
- Table Mountain cableway and National Park.
- Robben Island Museum and tour where Nelson Mandela was famously imprisoned.
- There exists a lot of museums and art galleries around Cape Town. If of interest, search for Iziko Museum.
- Outside of the Cape Town city centre, there are a few wine regions of interest, including Constantia, Durbanville, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek (our French Quarter!).
- There are also some lovely places to visit further afield such as Hermanus along the south coast and Yzerfontein including the Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve and the!Khwa ttu San Heritage Centre.
