Monthly snapshot of BGC Sprof files available with the Argo data snapshot
We’re happy to announce that routine monthly archives of the Argo GDAC now include a separate zip component which contains all available *Sprof.nc files: “BGC Sprof data files (yyyy-mm-dd snapshot)”, which can be accessed here: https://doi.org/10.17882/42182 Users interested in BGC data can now download a snapshot of all Sprof files (~2GB) without downloading the entire GDAC (>48GB).
BGC Argo DMQC workshop to be held the week of 23-27 January 2023
Villefranche, France will host the BGC Argo DMQC workshop in 23 – 27 January 2023. Many potential participants indicated they would join in person, but attempts will be made to incorporate virtual participants.
Susan Wijffels receives the 2023 Henry Stommel Research Medal
Congratulations Dr. Susan Wijffels for receiving the 2023 Henry Stommel Research Medal! She is being recognized “For exceptional contributions to understanding oceanic and freshwater storage and transport of heat and monitoring changes in the global hydrological cycle“. She will be presented with her award at the 103rd Annual AMS meeting in January 2023.
